Position Purpose:

The Home Depot is seeking a Cybersecurity Manager in Endpoint Protection. The Cybersecurity Manager will manage a team that develops, maintains, and supports The Home Depot's security tool infrastructure. This can include networking, hardware, databases, and system software components for a broad range of End Point security related tools and technologies. It is including but not limited to EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response), Device Discover and Endpoint Hardening. The Cybersecurity Manager, will be part of the Security Operations Center Systems team responsible for supporting the Device Discovery/IoT Security and Endpoint Hardening service, partnering with Design teams to continuously enhance and mature the service through strategic initiatives. Drive program strategy and reporting

  • Hold bi-annual strategy sessions with team, partners, vendor, and stakeholders, make bi-annual updates to a strategy document and champion said strategy with inside and outside cyber leaders.
  • Ensure quarterly financial forecasts are accurate and variances in your space are <5%.
  • Take ownership of projects in your space by regularly meeting with your PM, ensuring all pre-requisite planning/project intake tasks are completed, project related expenses are forecasted as early as possible and revised as better estimates become available, ensure preparedness for portfolio reviews with up to date and comprehensive details on dependencies, risks, issues, project status, and action/support needed.
  • Develop strong relationships with key vendors in your space and serve as central point of contact for all matters to include contract onboarding processes involving procurement/PMO/legal.
  • Develop and leverage a catalog of metrics to report an accurate, consistent, and comprehensive picture of the health of the program. Collaborate with Office of Cybersecurity Metrics Program Lead.
  • Report and track progress against relevant quarterly board commitments and internal audit findings assigned to your space.  
  • Take ownership of proactively preparing for compliance requirements relevant to the team. 
  • Maintain a catalog of program maturity gaps (people, process, technology) to inform strategic planning.

    Build highest performing teams

    • Prioritize associate development opportunities by ensuring all team members receive an updated Development Blueprint and 1on1 career discussion with their people leader quarterly.
    • Proactively advocate for associate external training opportunities by proactively soliciting training requests each quarter and submitting to Sr Manager for approval; ensuring funds do not go unused.
    • Manage team member performance to foster a culture of accountability and entrepreneurialism through timely goal assignments, stretch goal assignments, delegation/leadership opportunities, quality checks, task tracking, attendance tracking, timely feedback, and the HR performance management process.
    • Proactively schedule team building events throughout the year.
    • Institute processes for acknowledging accomplishments and celebrating successes both inside and outside the team.
    • Advocate for the work life balance of your team with proactive recommendations to leadership to adjust workload as needed.
    • Ensure completion of New Leader Assimilation workshop to facilitate a cohesive team.

      Responsive and communicative leader

      • Be responsive to leadership, peer and team member requests.
      • Communicate in advance if a deadline cannot be met. 
      • Leverage team meetings (at least bi-weekly), 1on1s (at least bi-weekly), all hands (rotate leading with peers), and documented assignments (i.e. pivotal, smartsheets, email, onenote) in order to share strategy, vision, and associated tasks with your team.
      • Proactively communicate solutions and options to address risks to the business, team morale, performance, or budget using chain of command. Leverage newly refreshed Risk and Compliance processes to communicate and capture self-identified risk findings.
