Position Description:
Located in Atlanta, GA, the Sr. Organizational Effectiveness Consultant works with a team of Industrial/Organizational Psychologists and other HR professionals on a wide variety of large-scale HR projects. Responsibilities include conducting and overseeing high-impact talent management projects including job analyses, developing and validating selection tools, designing and administering organizational surveys, facilitating assessment centers, building competency models, conducting applied research, advanced statistical modeling and analysis, and consulting with other teams in Human Resources and the business. While working on these projects, individuals are exposed to and interact with a variety of people from different functional areas and job levels across the enterprise.


  • 25% - Design, implement and maintain employee selection systems/testing instruments.
  • 30% - Design, conduct, and consult on research projects and advanced level statistical analyses.
  • 20% - Design, implement and evaluate survey solutions.
  • 25% - Conduct validation studies and present results to I/O psychologists and other Home Depot Associates.


This position reports to Manager or Sr Manager of Organizational Effectiveness.
This position has 0 direct reports.


Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.


  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Education Required:
The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a master's degree program or equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job.

Years of Relevant Work Experience:
5 years

Physical Requirements:

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or ABD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
  • Minor in Business Intelligence/Business Analytics and/or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a corporate setting
  • Expert level MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, SPSS, R or Python, SQL
  • Proven project management experience
  • Strong research and advanced data analysis and modeling skills
  • Strong technical knowledge in Industrial/Organizational Psychology
